Detailing workshop use

Tar comes off a car in stages, and the order of the panels matters more than the technique. Lower sills and wheel arches first, where the build-up is thickest, then rocker panels and bumpers, and finish with the glass and upper panels.

The 450ml aerosol carries 350g gross and the lemon scent keeps the solvent smell workable indoors. Spray, let the bitumen soften, wipe with a microfibre, and keep the cloth turning so removed tar is not dragged back across the panel. Oil film on the glass itself is a different job, handled with glass oil film remover.

Not a product to use blind. Fresh paint, matte finishes and vinyl wraps have their own solvent tolerance, and safety on cured clear coat does not carry over to a panel repainted last week. Test a hidden edge first on any of them.
