Rust Remover

Rust remover earns its place in a workshop only if it does not eat the metal underneath. Rust removal in a maintenance shop is rarely the main job: the handwheel that has to turn again, the jig that came off the shelf with a bloom on it, a linkage off a farm implement.

On cast iron and mild steel the acid-free formula lifts surface oxide in about 10 minutes, and the protective layer it leaves holds 30+ days, long enough to get a part into primer before flash rust returns. Chrome and plated hardware want a shorter dwell time.

It does not rebuild metal. Surface rust and light pitting come off; deep corrosion, flaking scale and metal already rusted through do not. For a fastener that will not move rather than a surface that will not clean, penetrating oil is the one to reach for.

Viscosity is set to the job — thin for threads, heavier for flat plate. Packed 24 pcs per export carton under UN 1950 Class 2.1.
